Deputy Prime Minister and Coordinating Minister for National Security Teo Chee Hean attended the State Funeral for the former President of Israel, the late Shimon Peres, at Mount Herzl in Jerusalem.
DPM Teo said, “It was a very moving ceremony, attended by about 80 leaders, ministers and parliamentarians. The large number of dignitaries reflects Mr Peres’ contributions to Israel and the global community. The attendance of the President of the Palestinian National Authority, Mahmoud Abbas, was especially notable. This gives hope for the future of the Middle East Peace Process.”
DPM Teo returns to Singapore on Sunday.
