               SMS Dr Maliki Osman attended the annual 16th Council of Ministers Meeting (COMM) of the Indian Ocean Rim Association (IORA) in Bali, Indonesia on 27 October 2016.  The meeting was hosted by the current Chair of IORA, Indonesia.  The 16th COMM reviewed progress made by IORA and discussed ways to enhance cooperation in the Indian Ocean Rim region.  The meeting also discussed preparations for the 20th anniversary commemorative Leaders’ Summit, to be held in Indonesia in March 2017.

              SMS Maliki also met with ministers from Australia, Bangladesh, Comoros, India, Malaysia, Somalia, South Africa and Yemen before departing for Singapore.
