Senior Minister of State for Foreign Affairs Zainul Abidin Rasheed will visit the Republic of Yemen from 24 to 27 June 2009. SMS Zainul will lead the Singapore delegation to the 9th Indian Ocean Rim-Association for Regional Cooperation Council of Ministers' meeting in Sana'a on 25 June 2009. This forum aims to explore areas of economic cooperation amongst Indian Ocean littoral and island states.

During the visit, SMS Zainul will also hold bilateral meetings with Yemeni leaders and senior officials.

SMS Zainul will be accompanied by senior officials from the Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
