Senior Minister of State for Foreign Affairs and Home Affairs Masagos Zulkifli, and his spouse Madam Jumelah Jaafar will visit Brunei Darussalam from 10 to 13 August 2013 on the occasion of Hari Raya Aidilfitri.  SMS Masagos will be accompanied by Senior Parliamentary Secretary for National Development and Defence Dr Maliki Osman, and his spouse Madam Sadiah Shahal.  This is the second year that SMS Masagos has joined in the Hari Raya celebrations in Brunei, and the visit reflects the warm friendship and strong ties between Singapore and Brunei.   

SMS Masagos will visit the Istana Nurul Iman to personally convey the warm Hari Raya wishes of Singapore’s leaders to the Sultan and Yang Di-Pertuan of Negara Brunei Darussalam, His Majesty Sultan Haji Hassanal Bolkiah Mu'izzaddin Waddaulah, and the Raja Isteri, Her Majesty Pengiran Anak Hajah Saleha.  SMS Masagos will also attend a Hari Raya Open House hosted by Brunei Minister of Home Affairs Pehin Badaruddin Othman, as well as the celebrations hosted by several other Bruneian Ministers.

SMS Masagos will welcome Bruneian leaders, officials and businessmen to an Open House on 12 August 2013 organised by our High Commission in conjunction with Singapore’s National Day. SMS Masagos will also meet the Singaporean community in Brunei at a separate National Day get-together on 12 August 2013.
