MFA Press Statement: Visit by Senior Minister of State for Foreign Affairs and Senior Minister of State for Defence Dr Mohamad Maliki Osman to the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia and the United Arab Emirates, 22 to 26 February 2016

            Senior Minister of State (SMS) for Foreign Affairs and SMS for Defence Dr Mohamad Maliki Osman will make a working visit to the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia (KSA) from 22 to 23 February and to the United Arab Emirates (UAE) from 24 to 26 February 2016.  The visit is part of Singapore’s efforts to strengthen our engagement of the Middle East, in particular two key members of the Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC).   

            In Riyadh, SMS Maliki will be calling on senior Saudi leaders and officials, and meeting the Secretary General of the GCC His Excellency Abdul Latif Bin Rashid Al Zayani.  Following his visit to KSA, SMS will travel to the UAE to meet senior Emirati leaders and officials in Abu Dhabi and Dubai.  He will also call on the Ruler of Fujairah His Highness Sheikh Hamad Bin Mohammed Al Sharqi and the Chairman of the Fujairah Department of Industry and Economy His Highness Sheikh Saleh Bin Mohammed Al Sharqi.   

            SMS Maliki will be accompanied by officials from the Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
