                   Prime Minister of Malaysia Dato’ Sri Najib Razak will be in Singapore today to officiate the opening of Malaysia’s Agrobazaar outlet.  Announced by Prime Minister Najib at the Malaysia-Singapore Leaders’ Retreat in Kuala Lumpur on 7 April 2014, the Agrobazaar is an initiative by the Malaysian Ministry of Agriculture and Agro-Based Industry and the Federal Agricultural Marketing Authority (FAMA).  The Agrobazaar is located at Lots 37, 39, 41 and 43 Sultan Gate and will feature a selection of fresh fruit and agro-based products from Malaysia. 

                   Prime Minister Lee Hsien Loong has been invited by Prime Minister Najib to jointly officiate the opening of the Agrobazaar in Singapore.  Following the launch of Agrobazaar, Prime Minister and Mrs Lee will host Prime Minister Najib and Datin Paduka Seri Rosmah Mansor to a tour of the newly-completed Singapore Sports Hub followed by dinner.  

                    The launch of Agrobazaar in Singapore and Prime Minister Najib’s visit underscore the excellent state of bilateral relations between Singapore and Malaysia and reaffirm the commitment of both countries to strengthen bilateral cooperation in the spirit of friendship, mutual respect and common benefit.
