Minister George Yeo attended the inauguration ceremony held in Manila today for President of the Republic of Philippines His Excellency Benigno S. Aquino III as the representative of the Government of the Republic of Singapore. He congratulated President Aquino and conveyed the good wishes of the people and government of Singapore.

Minister Yeo also attended a dinner yesterday hosted by Senator Mar Roxas, where he met newly-appointed Finance Secretary Cesar Purisima and Secretary of Budget and Management Florencio Abad. They had a good discussion on bilateral cooperation and the global economy.
