        Minister for Foreign Affairs Dr Vivian Balakrishnan will attend an informal ASEAN Foreign Ministers’ Retreat from 18 to 19 December 2016 in Yangon, at the invitation of the Republic of the Union of Myanmar. At the Retreat, State Counsellor Her Excellency Daw Aung San Suu Kyi will brief the ASEAN Foreign Ministers on the recent developments in Rakhine State.  ASEAN Foreign Ministers will also exchange views on how to assist Myanmar in addressing the challenges. 

        Minister Balakrishnan will be accompanied by officials from the Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
