The Amir of the State of Qatar, His Highness Sheikh Hamad Bin Khalifa Al-Thani will make a State Visit to Singapore from 20 to 21 May 2009 at the invitation of President S R Nathan. The Amir will be accompanied by his consort Her Highness Sheikha Mozah Bint Nasser Al-Missned, the Minister of Finance and Economy Mr Yousef Hussain Kamal, the Minister of State for Energy and Industrial Affairs Dr Mohamed Saleh Al-Sada, the Minister of State for International Cooperation Khalid Bin Mohamed Al-Attiyah and other senior officials. This will be HH Sheikh Hamad's second State Visit to Singapore. His first State Visit was in June 2005.

During the visit, HH Sheikh Hamad will meet with President S R Nathan and Prime Minister Lee Hsien Loong. President Nathan will also host a State Banquet in honour of HH Sheikh Hamad and his delegation at the Istana. HH Sheikh Hamad will also visit the Asian Civilisations Museum.
