Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II of the United Kingdom will visit Singapore from 16 to 18 March 2006 at the invitation of President S R Nathan. Her Majesty will be accompanied by His Royal Highness the Duke of Edinburgh. This will be Her Majesty's third State Visit to Singapore since Singapore's independence.
President S R Nathan and Mrs Nathan will host a State Banquet in honour of Her Majesty. Prime Minister Lee Hsien Loong will call on Her Majesty and also host lunch. During the visit, Her Majesty will lay a wreath at the Cenotaph, visit the National Library and Toa Payoh. Her Majesty will also present the Queen Elizabeth II Cup at the Singapore Turf Club.
