President S R Nathan will be making a State Visit to Finland from 24 to 29 October 2010 at the invitation of Finnish President Tarja Halonen. This will be the first State Visit from Singapore to Finland.

In Helsinki, President Nathan will meet with senior Finnish leaders including President Tarja Halonen, Prime Minister Mari Kiviniemi, Speaker of Parliament Sauli Niinistö, Mayor of Helsinki City Jussi Pajunen, Foreign Minister Alexander Stubb and former Finnish President Martti Ahtisaari. President Nathan will also host a reception for Singaporeans based in Finland.

President Nathan will be accompanied by Minister from the Prime Minister's Office Lim Boon Heng, Members of Parliament Ellen Lee, Josephine Teo, and Zainudin Nordin, who is also the Mayor of Central Singapore District, and senior officials.
