MFA Press Statement: State Visit of President S R Nathan to the Kingdom of Bahrain, 22-25 November 2010

President S R Nathan will make a State Visit to the Kingdom of Bahrain from 22 to 25 November 2010. President Nathan will be accompanied by Mrs Nathan, Minister for National Development Mah Bow Tan, Senior Minister of State for Foreign Affairs Zainul Abidin Rasheed, Member of Parliament for Tampines GRC Irene Ng and Member of Parliament for Sembawang GRC Dr Lim Wee Kiak.

In Manama, President Nathan will meet His Majesty King Hamad Bin Isa Al Khalifa, His Royal Highness Crown Prince Salman Bin Hamad Al Khalifa, Prime Minister His Royal Highness Prince Khalifa Bin Salman Al Khalifa, Foreign Minister His Excellency Shaikh Khalid Bin Ahmed Bin Mohammed Al Khalifa, and the Chairman of the Shura Council (Upper House of the National Assembly) His Excellency Ali Bin Saleh Al-Saleh.

His Majesty King Hamad Bin Isa Al Khalifa will host President Nathan and his delegation to a Welcome Ceremony lunch while His Royal Highness Crown Prince Salman Bin Hamad will host dinner for President Nathan and his delegation. President Nathan will also meet Bahraini businessmen at a lunch hosted by the Bahraini Chambers of Commerce and Industry, and receive a briefing of Bahrain's long term economic plans by the Bahrain Economic Development Board. He will also visit the Salman Industrial City, and the King Fahd Causeway linking Bahrain and Saudi Arabia during his stay in Bahrain. President Nathan will also be meeting Singaporeans working and residing in Bahrain.
