President of Hungary, Dr János Áder, will make a State Visit to Singapore from 8 to 11 April 2015 at the invitation of President Tony Tan Keng Yam. President Áder will be accompanied by his w...

        President of Hungary, Dr János Áder, will make a State Visit to Singapore from 8 to 11 April 2015 at the invitation of President Tony Tan Keng Yam.  President Áder will be accompanied by his wife Dr Anita Herczegh and officials from the Office of the President.

        There will be an official Welcome Ceremony in honour of President Áder at the Istana on 9 April.  Following that, President Áder will have separate meetings with President Tan and Prime Minister Lee Hsien Loong.  Speaker of Parliament Halimah Yacob will host President Áder and his delegation to lunch, and President Tan and Mrs Tan will host a State Banquet in honour of President Áder and Dr Herczegh later in the day.  

        President Áder will meet with Minister for the Environment and Water Resources Dr Vivian Balakrishnan at the Marina Barrage, where he will also receive a briefing on Singapore’s sustainability efforts.  The President will also visit A*STAR for a briefing on the science and research landscape in Singapore, as well as tour  FusionWorld, A*STAR’s technology showcase of award-winning inventions, cutting edge in-house and industry-collaboration prototypes created by its research institutes.
