The Government of Singapore is saddened to learn that Vo Van Kiet, the former Prime Minister of the Socialist Republic of Vietnam, passed away today.

Prime Minister Lee Hsien Loong has written to Prime Minister Nguyen Tan Dung to express his condolences. Senior Minister Goh Chok Tong and Minister Mentor Lee Kuan Yew have also sent condolence messages to the wife of the late former Prime Minister Kiet.
