The Minister for Foreign Affairs of the Hellenic Republic (Greece) Nikos Kotzias made an official visit to Singapore on 29 November 2017.  Minister for Foreign Affairs Dr Vivian Balakrishnan met Minister Kotzias and hosted him to an official lunch this afternoon. 

Both sides affirmed the warm and growing relations between Greece and Singapore, and discussed opportunities to enhance bilateral relations as well as regional developments.  Minister Balakrishnan welcomed the decision by Greece to establish a full resident Embassy in Singapore, and looked forward to the arrival of Ambassador-designate to Singapore Ms Constantina Koliou and the opening of the Embassy in Singapore.

During his visit, Minister Kotzias also visited the Smart Nation and Digital Government Office to learn more about Singapore’s Smart Nation initiative.  Minister Kotzias will depart Singapore today.
