Minister for Foreign Affairs, George Yeo, will attend the ASEAN Foreign Ministers' Retreat in Danang, Vietnam on 14 January 2010. The Ministers will discuss recent developments in the regional architecture, and review the status of implementation of the ASEAN Charter, the ASEAN Political/Security Community Blueprint, and the ASEAN Connectivity initiative.

The Ministers will also make a road trip, beginning from Savannakhet Province in Laos, to Danang in Vietnam, from 12-13 January 2010. This road trip will give the Ministers a first-hand experience of the state of road connections within ASEAN and help them assess the potential of the ASEAN Connectivity Initiative.
