Minister George Yeo called on His Highness Sheikh Tamim Bin Hamad Al-Thani, Heir Apparent of the State of Qatar, in Doha. They affirmed the excellent relations between Singapore and Qatar and agreed to expand and deepen bilateral cooperation. In this regard, His Highness Sheikh Tamim said that the high-level Joint Committee should be convened as early as possible.

Minister Yeo also met the Mongolian Minister of Foreign Affairs Nyamaa Enkhbold and Iranian Acting Minister of Foreign Affairs Mahdi Mostafavi Ahari to exchange views on bilateral relations as well as regional and international issues.

In addition to a lunch meeting with the Singaporean business community in Doha, Minister Yeo attended the dinner hosted by His Highness Sheikh Tamim to mark the opening of the 5th Asia Cooperation Dialogue Ministerial Meeting.
