                Deputy Prime Minister and Coordinating Minister for National Security Teo Chee Hean met Secretary of the Russian Security Council Nikolai Patrushev today.  They welcomed the strengthening of bilateral cooperation in various areas, and agreed to step up cooperation in counter-terrorism.  They also exchanged views on regional and international developments.

                While in Singapore, Secretary Patrushev also met Minister for Home Affairs and Minister for Law K Shanmugam.
