Minister for Foreign Affairs George Yeo hosted a lunch in honour of the Hon Alexander Downer, Minister for Foreign Affairs of the Commonwealth of Australia, on 15 May 2006. During the lunch, both Ministers exchanged views on issues of mutual concern relating to regional developments and the regional architecture. With regard to bilateral relations, both Ministers affirmed the excellent relations, exemplified by the established bilateral links in fields such as trade and investment and defence, as well as cooperation in education and in regional forums, such as APEC and the ASEAN Regional Forum (ARF).
