Singapore welcomes the decision of Israel and Turkey to participate in the United Nations Panel of Inquiry on the flotilla incident of 31 May 2010. This is a significant step towards ascertaining the exact circumstances of the incident in a transparent, balanced and credible manner.


We hope that this development will have a positive impact on the relationship between Turkey and Israel. Stable bilateral relations between Turkey and Israel are an important element in the overall stability and security of the Middle East.
