            Minister for Foreign Affairs Dr Vivian Balakrishnan will be making an introductory visit to the People’s Republic of China from 29 February to 1 March 2016 at the invitation of Minister of Foreign Affairs Wang Yi.

            During the visit, Minister Balakrishnan will meet Vice President Li Yuanchao, State Councillor Yang Jiechi, Communist Party of China International Department Minister Song Tao and Minister Wang Yi. Minister Wang will also host a meal for Minister Balakrishnan. In addition, Minister Balakrishnan, in his capacity as Minister-in-charge of the Smart Nation Programme Office, will meet Cyberspace Administration of China Minister Lu Wei.

            Minister Balakrishnan will be accompanied by Mrs Joy Balakrishnan, as well as senior officials from the Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
