Our Embassy in Washington contacted most of the Singaporeans whom we know are in the areas likely to be affected by Hurricane Rita in Texas and advised them accordingly. We are continuing our efforts to get in touch with other Singaporeans in the areas. Our Embassy will monitor the situation closely and remain in touch with the local authorities.

Singaporeans who have relatives and friends who are in the areas likely to be affected by the hurricane, can call the Ministry of Foreign Affairs Duty Office or our Embassy in Washington. The contact details are as follows:
