His Majesty King Norodom Sihamoni in a letter to President SR Nathan has extended his "sincere condolences and profound sympathy" to the families of the five national dragon boaters who lost their lives in the tragic accident at the Water Festival in Phnom Penh on 23 November 2007. His Majesty, in noting the "inalterable bonds" between Cambodia and Singapore, said that his people shared in "the sufferings of the people of Singapore".
