His Royal Highness Prince Andrew, The Duke of York, paid a courtesy call on President Tony Tan Keng Yam this morning.  They reaffirmed the strong ties between Singapore and the United Kingdom, and discussed opportunities to strengthen cooperation in science, innovation, and technology.

His Royal Highness is visiting Singapore to represent Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II, Head of the Commonwealth, at the Commonwealth Science Conference.  His Royal Highness will attend the opening ceremony of the Commonwealth Science Conference this evening.
