On behalf of the Government of the Republic of Singapore, I extend my congratulations on your election as President of the Russian Federation. Your decisive victory attests to your popular support, and reaffirms your mandate to push ahead with Russia's modernisation.
Russia and Singapore share long-standing relations that have grown from strength to strength. The High-Level Russia-Singapore Inter-Governmental Commission remains the cornerstone of our bilateral cooperation, while the Russia-Singapore Business Forum has facilitated business tie-ups and networking opportunities between Singapore and Russia. Our countries also work closely at regional forums, including the Asia-Pacific Economic Cooperation, which Russia is hosting this year, the East Asia Summit and the Asia-Europe Meeting.
I look forward to continuing to work with you to strengthen our strong bilateral relations.
