Prime Minister Lee Hsien Loong received a call by India's Minister of External Affairs Pranab Mukherjee at the Istana on 20 June 2007. PM Lee and Minister Mukherjee discussed ways of further enhancing bilateral cooperation across a broad front. They agreed to encourage more two-way investments between India and Singapore. They also exchanged views on key developments in South Asia. PM Lee encouraged India's continued engagement of East and Southeast Asia as this would bring even more mutual benefits. Minister Mukherjee said that India considered Singapore as the heart of its "Look East" policy.
