Vietnam Deputy Prime Minister HE Hoang Trung Hai called on President S R Nathan on 29 July 2009. During the meeting, they affirmed the warm and strong bilateral ties between the two countries, and expressed satisfaction on the progress of the cooperation and joint projects between the two countries. President informed DPM Hai that Singapore looked forward to welcoming Vietnam President Nguyen Minh Triet in November for his State Visit in conjunction with the APEC Economic Leader's Meeting.
