Indonesian Foreign Minister Hassan Wirajuda called on Minister for Foreign Affairs George Yeo on Monday, 18 February 2008. Minister Hassan is visiting Singapore to attend the ASEAN Foreign Ministers' Retreat from 19-20 February 2008. The two ministers had a good discussion on regional issues. On ASEAN, Minister Yeo and Minister Hassan agreed that it was important to keep up the momentum towards ASEAN integration. They also discussed the implementation of the ASEAN Charter following its signing at the 13th ASEAN Summit in Singapore last November. Both Ministers reaffirmed the importance for all ASEAN countries to ratify the ASEAN Charter as soon as possible.
