Minister of Foreign Affairs and Cooperation of the Kingdom of Spain Mr José Manuel García-Margallo, who is visiting Singapore on 7 November 2012, called on Minister for Foreign Affairs and Minister for Law Mr K Shanmugam at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs.

The Ministers affirmed the good bilateral relations between Singapore and Spain, agreed that there was potential to strengthen cooperation in various areas such as trade and investment, and looked forward to the conclusion of the EU-Singapore Free Trade Agreement. The Ministers also exchanged views on developments in Europe.

During his visit to Singapore, Mr García-Margallo also called on Minister for Trade and Industry Mr Lim Hng Kiang.
