                   The Minister for Foreign Affairs of the Democratic People’s Republic of Korea (DPRK) Ri Su Yong called on and was hosted to lunch by Minister for Foreign Affairs K Shanmugam this afternoon.  The Ministers exchanged views on bilateral relations, the recent ASEAN Regional Forum (ARF) and developments in the Korean Peninsula.  Minister Shanmugam stressed the importance of maintaining peace and stability in the Korean Peninsula, which would benefit the whole region including the DPRK.

                   Minister Ri is on an official visit to Singapore from 13 – 16 August 2014.
