The Government has appointed Mr Kwee Liong Keng as Singapore's Non-Resident Ambassador to the Republic of Poland. He will be resident in Singapore.
Mr Kwee is currently the Managing Director of Pontiac Land Pte Ltd and Chairman of Pontiac Hotel Pte Ltd, Millenia Pte Ltd (Pontiac Marina Pte Ltd) and RCMS Hotels Ltd.
Mr Kwee is active in public service and has held numerous public appointments. He is currently Member, Board of Trustees of the Chinese Development Assistance Council (since 1999), Member, Board of Governors of Hwa Chong Institution (since 2000), Council Member, Singapore Chinese Chamber of Commerce and Industry (since 1985), Managing Director, Chinese Chamber Realty Pte Ltd (since 2007), Member, Board of Viva Foundation for Children with Cancer (since 2006) and Chairman, Wee Kim Wee Legacy Fund (since 2005). He is also Member, Board of Trustees of the Philadelphia University (since 1997).
Mr Kwee was Chairman, Singapore Art Museum (2000 - 2005), Deputy Chairman, Singapore Tyler Print Institute (2000 - 2005), Member, National Heritage Board (1997 - 2005), Council Member, National Crime Prevention Council (1987 -1994) and Council Member, Singapore Business Federation (2003 - 2007). He was also President of the Real Estate Developers' Association of Singapore (1983 - 1985, 1987 - 1989 and 2003 - 2007).
Mr Kwee graduated from Philadelphia University with a Bachelor of Science in Management and Marketing. He is married to Chua Lee Eng. They have five children.
