Note
*Uncontactable - persons who were known to be in the general vicinity of the affected areas and whom families and MFA are unable to reach.
**Missing - definite information that persons may have been swept away, or were known to be in an area that was badly devastated.
Based on media reports, we had earlier included a person in our missing list, pending verification of the circumstances surrounding the person's death. The checks have now been completed and we can confirm that she was a tsunami victim, and have therefore included her in the list of confirmed dead.
We request relatives and friends of Singaporeans, who were known to have travelled to the disaster-stricken areas and uncontactable earlier but who have since been contacted, to call the 24-hour Singapore Contact Centre at Tel: 6332-0000, to give details of the whereabouts of such persons.
