STATE VISIT OF THE GOVERNOR-GENERAL OF AUSTRALIA MICHAEL JEFFERY TO SINGAPORE, 7-11 MARCH 2004
The Governor-General of the Commonwealth of Australia, Major-General Michael Jeffery, accompanied by Mrs Marlena Jeffery, will make a State Visit to Singapore from 7 to 11 March 2004. It will be Governor-General Jeffery's first visit to Singapore since taking office in August 2003.
The Governor-General will meet with President S R Nathan, Prime Minister Goh Chok Tong, Senior Minister Lee Kuan Yew and Deputy Prime Minister Dr Tony Tan. President and Mrs Nathan will host a state dinner in honour of Governor-General and Mrs Jeffery and the Australian delegation. Prime Minister Goh will also host a lunch for Governor-General Jeffery.
