Please accept my warmest congratulations on your appointment as
Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Kingdom of Thailand .

Thailand and Singapore enjoy excellent relations which go back a
long way. We share many common interests and perspectives on regional
issues and have worked closely towards closer regional integration . I look
forward to working with you to strengthen further our bilateral relations and
our collaboration in ASEAN .

I also wish Thailand a successful ASEAN Chairmanship and assure
you of my fullest support . May I also take this opportunity to invite you to
make a bilateral visit to Singapore at a mutually convenient time.
