Dear Minister Pattama
Heartiest congratulations on your appointment as Minister of Foreign Affairs!
Thailand and Singapore enjoy a close relationship which goes back a long way. We share common perspectives on regional integration and many international issues. I look forward to working with you to strengthen further our bilateral relations and our collaboration in ASEAN, especially the ratification of the ASEAN Charter and handing over the ASEAN Chairmanship to Thailand later this year.
Looking forward to seeing you at the ASEAN Foreign Minister's Retreat in Singapore later this month. May I also take this opportunity to invite you to make an early bilateral visit perhaps immediately after the Sentosa Retreat.
