In response to media queries, the MFA Spokesman said:

"The Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Singapore Consulate-General in San Francisco have been informed by the US authorities of the road accident in which one Singaporean died and another was seriously injured. We have sent a senior Consulate-General officer to Colorado Springs to provide further consular assistance to the bereaved family."
