Prime Minister of the Republic of Lithuania Ingrida Šimonytė called on President Tharman Shanmugaratnam today. They reaffirmed the warm and friendly relations between the two countries and discussed ways to strengthen people-to-people ties between Singapore and Lithuania.
Prime Minister Šimonytė also met Prime Minister Lawrence Wong. The leaders discussed areas where both countries could deepen cooperation and exchanged views on regional and global developments. Prime Minister Wong welcomed Lithuania’s interest to facilitate business-to-business linkages between Singapore and Lithuania companies. Both leaders reaffirmed their strong support of free trade and a rules-based global order.
Prime Minister Šimonytė will participate in the Shangri-La Dialogue organised by the International Institute for Strategic Studies (IISS) before returning to Lithuania.
