The Government of the Republic of Singapore, with the agreement of the government of Japan, has appointed Mr Kawaura Koji as Singapore’s Honorary Consul-General in Nagoya, with jurisdiction throughout the Chubu region of Japan.
Mr Kawaura, 54, graduated from the Faculty of Law of Waseda University in 1992.
Mr Kawaura is currently the President, Chief Operating Officer, and Representative Executive Officer of Menicon Co., Ltd, and was the Managing Director of Menicon Singapore Pte Ltd from 2010 to 2013. As Honorary Consul-General, Mr Kawaura will perform representational duties and notarial functions, as well as extend consular assistance to Singaporeans in the Chubu region of Japan.
