Official Visit by Deputy Prime Minister & Coordinating Minister for Economic Policies Heng Swee Keat to the People's Republic of China, 7 to 12 April 2024

Deputy Prime Minister and Coordinating Minister for Economic Policies Heng Swee Keat met Chief Executive of the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region John Lee today.

Deputy Prime Minister Heng and Chief Executive Lee reaffirmed the close and longstanding relations between Singapore and Hong Kong. They discussed ways to enhance bilateral cooperation in areas of mutual interest such as trade, innovation, research, and education, amongst others. Deputy Prime Minister Heng expressed confidence in Hong Kong’s continued development and prosperity under the “One Country, Two Systems” framework.

Deputy Prime Minister Heng returns to Singapore today.
