The Government of the Republic of Singapore, with the agreement of the government of the Republic of Colombia, has appointed Mr Carlos Umaña Trujillo as Singapore’s Honorary Consul in Bogotá, Colombia, with jurisdiction throughout Colombia.

The Government of the Republic of Singapore, with the agreement of the government of the Republic of Colombia, has appointed Mr Carlos Umaña Trujillo as Singapore’s Honorary Consul in Bogotá, Colombia, with jurisdiction throughout Colombia.
The Honorary Consul will support the work of Singapore’s Non-Resident Ambassador to Colombia, Mr Anthony Lim. The appointment will further enhance Singapore’s ties with Colombia.
Mr Umaña, 63, is Chairman of the Board of Brigard & Urrutia, a law firm in Colombia. He graduated from the School of Law of New York University in 1985.
As Honorary Consul, Mr Umaña will perform representational duties and notarial functions, as well as extend consular assistance to Singaporeans in Colombia.
