On behalf of the people of the Republic of Singapore, I would like to extend my warmest congratulations on your successful re-election as President of the Republic of Turkey. The people of Turkey have given you a strong mandate under the new Executive Presidency system as a reaffirmation of their confidence in your leadership.  

Turkey and Singapore enjoy warm and growing ties. Next year will mark the 50^th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between our two countries. This is a joyous occasion for both countries to commemorate and celebrate.  

I wish Your Excellency continued good health and success, and look forward to working closely with you to deepen the ties between Singapore and Turkey. I would also like to take this opportunity to invite you to make a State Visit to Singapore at a mutually convenient time.

Dear President Erdoğan,

On behalf of the Government of the Republic of Singapore, I would like to extend my warmest congratulations on your re-election as President of the Republic of Turkey. You have received a strong mandate to serve as the country’s first Executive President. 

Singapore and Turkey share a Strategic Partnership underpinned by strong political and economic ties. We enjoy close cooperation in the aviation, maritime, science and technology, and education sectors. Our people-to-people ties are also growing. The entry into force of the Turkey-Singapore Free Trade Agreement in 2017 will further strengthen our cooperation. 2019 will be an important milestone as we celebrate the 50^th anniversary of the establishment of our diplomatic relations. Singapore is also committed to supporting Turkey in its efforts to engage ASEAN as a Sectoral Dialogue Partner.
