Minister for Foreign Affairs Dr Vivian Balakrishnan will visit Chongqing, China from 6 to 7 June 2021 to attend a Special ASEAN-China Foreign Ministers’ Meeting. The Meeting is held in conjunction with the 30th anniversary of ASEAN-China Dialogue Relations this year. It reaffirms the long-standing and substantive relations between ASEAN and China, and looks forward to strengthening future cooperation, particularly in the region’s recovery from the COVID-19 pandemic.
Minister Balakrishnan will have a bilateral meeting with PRC State Councilor and Minister of Foreign Affairs Wang Yi. Minister Balakrishnan will also be hosted to a dinner by State Councilor Wang for the ASEAN Heads of Delegation.
Minister Balakrishnan will be accompanied by officials from the Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
