Minister for Foreign Affairs Dr Vivian Balakrishnan had a telephone call with Minister of External Affairs of India Dr S Jaishankar on 1 May 2021.

  They reaffirmed the strong relations between Singapore and India, and the mutual commitment to support each other at the two countries’ respective times of need during the COVID-19 pandemic. Minister Jaishankar thanked Minister Balakrishnan for Singapore’s contribution of oxygen cylinders to India on 28 April 2021, as well as for the facilitation of the transfer of cryogenic tanks from Singapore to India.

Minister Balakrishnan assured Minister Jaishankar that Singapore will continue to support India in its fight against COVID-19.
