15th Meeting of the Singapore-Australia Joint Ministerial Committee in Adelaide, 27 July 2026
Minister for Defence Chan Chun Sing, Minister for Foreign Affairs Dr Vivian Balakrishnan, and Minister-in-charge of Energy and Science & Technology in the Ministry of Trade and Industry Dr Tan See Leng will participate in the 15th Meeting of the Singapore-Australia Joint Ministerial Committee (SAJMC) in Adelaide, Australia on 27 July 2026. Australia will be represented by Deputy Prime Minister and Minister for Defence Richard Marles, Minister for Foreign Affairs Penny Wong and Minister for Trade and Tourism and Special Minister of State Don Farrell.
The 15th SAJMC marks the 30th anniversary of the SAJMC. Established in 1996, the SAJMC is a unique high-level dialogue mechanism involving the Foreign Affairs, Defence and Trade Ministers of Singapore and Australia. It provides strategic direction for the bilateral relationship and serves as a platform for both sides to discuss cooperation and exchange views on regional and international developments. The last SAJMC meeting was held in Singapore in December 2024.
While in Adelaide, the Ministers will also meet Premier of South Australia Peter Malinauskas.
