Deputy Prime Minister and Minister for Finance Heng Swee Keat, accompanied by Mrs Heng, will visit Brunei Darussalam from 14 to 16 July 2019 as the Singapore Government’s representative to the 73rd birthday celebrations of His Majesty Sultan Haji Hassanal Bolkiah Mu’izzaddin Waddaulah, the Sultan and Yang Di-Pertuan of Brunei Darussalam, on 15 July 2019. These annual visits by Singapore leaders to personally express good wishes to His Majesty on the occasion of his birthday reflect the close and enduring special relationship between Brunei and Singapore.

2 DPM will have an audience with His Majesty on 15 July 2019, and attend the Royal Guard of Honour Ceremony, Investiture Ceremony, and the Royal Banquet. DPM will also meet members of the Brunei Royal Family, including His Royal Highness Prince Haji Al-Muhtadee Billah, the Crown Prince and Senior Minister at the Prime Minister’s Office of Brunei Darussalam. During his visit, DPM will also have meetings with several Bruneian Ministers, including Minister at the Prime Minister’s Office Dato Seri Setia Haji Awang Abdul Mokti and Minister at the Prime Minister’s Office and Minister of Finance and Economy II Dato Seri Setia Dr Awang Haji Mohd Amin Liew.
