Prime Minister Lee Hsien Loong and Mrs Lee met the Sultan of Brunei His Majesty Sultan Haji Hassanal Bolkiah, Indonesian President Joko Widodo and Malaysian Prime Minister Mahathir Mohamad, together with their spouses, at the National Gallery Singapore today. The foreign leaders were in Singapore at Prime Minister Lee’s invitation to attend the Bicentennial edition of the National Day Parade. During the meeting, Prime Minister Lee expressed appreciation for the attendance by the visiting leaders to Singapore’s National Day celebrations, and reaffirmed the deep historical ties and friendship that Singapore has with Brunei, Indonesia and Malaysia.
