United States (US) Secretary of Commerce Wilbur Ross called on Prime Minister Lee Hsien Loong at the Istana today.

  Prime Minister Lee and Secretary Ross reaffirmed the excellent state of bilateral relations, underpinned by our strong defence and economic ties. Prime Minister Lee welcomed Secretary Ross’ affirmation of the US’ continued engagement of the region. Both sides also exchanged views on regional and global developments.

Secretary Ross also met Minister for Trade and Industry Chan Chun Sing this afternoon. Secretary Ross will depart Singapore tomorrow.
