Visit by Minister of State, Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Ministry of Social and Family Development, Sam Tan to St Petersburg, Russia, for the 5th International Arctic Forum, 8 to 11 April 2019

Minister of State (MOS), Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Ministry of Social and Family Development, Sam Tan will visit St Petersburg, Russia, from 8 to 11 April 2019 to attend the 5th International Arctic Forum (IAF). 

The IAF is organised by the Russian State Commission for Arctic Development, with the support of the Russian Ministry of Foreign Affairs, and aims to bring together international organisations, governments, and the scientific and business communities to discuss developments in the Arctic. This is the second time that Singapore is attending the IAF since becoming an observer in the Arctic Council in 2013. During his visit, MOS Tan will attend several plenary sessions and meet Arctic interlocutors on the sidelines of the IAF.

MOS Tan will be accompanied by officials from the Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
