Accepting an MFA scholarship began my transformative journey with the foreign service. It gave me the opportunity to engage with global perspectives through studies in the United States, as well as a memorable internship at the Singapore High Commission in New Delhi, where I saw how democracy manifests itself in different societies. Other internships at MFA HQ gave me a glimpse into the unique and important (and sometimes unexpected) work of Foreign Service Officers. These experiences have helped me today as I undertake a meaningful and challenging posting at the Singapore Embassy in Tel Aviv, where our team advocates for Singapore’s interests in a troubled world.
