Visit by Minister in the Prime Minister’s Office, Second Minister for Foreign Affairs and Second Minister for Education Dr Mohamad Maliki Osman to the People’s Republic of Bangladesh, 10 to 13 May 2023

Minister in the Prime Minister’s Office, Second Minister for Foreign Affairs, and Second Minister for Education, Dr Mohamad Maliki Osman will attend the sixth Indian Ocean Conference (IOC) in the People’s Republic of Bangladesh on 12 and 13 May 2023.

Minister Maliki will also make a bilateral visit to Bangladesh at the invitation of Foreign Minister Dr AK Abdul Momen, in conjunction with the IOC. Minister Maliki will also have bilateral meetings with his counterparts on the sidelines of the IOC.

The IOC is a Track 1.5 event organised by the India Foundation based in New Delhi, in collaboration with the S Rajaratnam School of International Studies and the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Bangladesh to discuss cooperation in the Indian Ocean region. The theme of the sixth IOC is “Peace, Prosperity and Partnership for a Resilient Future”.

Minister Maliki will be accompanied by officials from the Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
